Works are progressing well constructing the new Barton Junior School in Dover for the Department for Education (DfE), our first scheme under the School and Academy Building Framework, which has seen us take it through the Design and Planning stages.
The 2-phase / £3,600,000 / 57-week / 2-Stage D&B project, alongside design partners ECE Architecture, services engineer Hurley Palmer Flatt and structural engineer Ben Segeth Associates, will see us replace the school’s existing single-storey teaching block with a ‘new and improved’ 2-storey Junior School.
Works started on site in October, and with the piling and much of the groundworks complete, the steel frame and pre-cast floor installation are well underway with the project on track for completion in Summer 2019.
