St Joseph’s Catholic Infant School

Following a complex 59-week phased construction programme, we’re very proud to have been involved with extensive refurbishment works to classrooms, main reception, nursery and main assembly hall at St Joseph’s Catholic Infant School in Walthamstow for the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Procured through the Barking and Dagenham Built Environment Contractor Framework, our team worked closely alongside lead consultants NPS Group and LB of Waltham Forest’s in-house project team to deliver strip-out, asbestos removal, roofing, refurbishment, upgraded M&E services and construction of a new main entrance, along with enabling works and provision of a new temporary mobile classroom.

A huge thank you to project team, key stakeholders, supply-chain and all involved, we hope that the pupils and staff enjoy their ‘new’ school.

“Great communication and relationships, absolutely necessary for such a complex schools project. Reporting was excellent and adapted to meet the needs of our own KPIs – e.g. monitoring of local labour, work experience, apprentices etc. Overall, a very good quality refurbishment project – attention to detail has been excellent.” – Rob Miller, Lead PM at LB of Waltham Forest

This was a complex total refurbishment of an occupied infants school, the project was very well managed on site with excellent cooperation between the contract manager and the school. T&B worked with the client team to overcome timing difficulties and achieved the target completion date despite the delayed commencement.” – John Drewery, Lead Architect at NPS Group
