Conversion of first floor office space to form 24-bedroom ward located above the fully operational A&E Department at Newham University Hospital.
Works included;
• Extensive strip-out, asbestos removal and upgrade of fire protection throughout
• Full MEP services installation and construction of new external pile raft enclousure for AHU and chillers
• Installation of medical bedheads with nurse call, medi gas and cable flow systems
• New vinyl flooring, redecoration, ceiling , joinery, partitions and fire doors
• Formation of temporary structural gantry for site office and storage to ensure minimal disruption to ambulance bay and A&E Department below
• Scheduled deliveries and frequent ‘look ahead’ meetings with stakeholders to minimise disruption
• COVID-19 Secure Site and CLC’s site operating procedures enforced
