Our position and approach to combatting impacts of COVID-19…

The health, safety and well-being of our staff, supply-chain partners and project stakeholders remains our number one priority, and we continue to monitor Government and Public Health England’s advice and updates daily.

Through the introduction of our social distancing protocols and strict adherence to Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures, many of our critical projects have remained open and operational, and our site teams have continued to undertake the necessary risk assessments to ensure work can continue safely and within our stringent social distancing guidelines.

Our pre-construction, procurement, HSQE, support and project staff continue to embrace working remotely, utilising our advanced ICT infrastructure and bespoke supply-chain portal, as well as Microsoft Teams and Zoom for internal and external ‘virtual’ meetings and project reviews.

Through the continued support and regular communication with our materials suppliers and supply-chain partners, we’ve maintained delivery activity on existing projects and have managed to secure new opportunities for the business moving forward.

Although things remain far from ‘normal’, we’ve developed a strategy to re-open the majority of our sites by 11th May 2020, and we will continue to observe Government advice and the Construction Leadership Council’s Site Operating Procedures which will be integrated into our Company Protocols.

Whilst we can manage activity and social distancing measures within the confines of our sites, we’re also aware of the part we play in the communities that we’re embedded within, which is an attitude and respect shared by our staff and supply-chain partners.

T&B’s Directors, staff and stakeholders are totally committed to the success of business and doing ‘what we can’ to support our clients, supply-chain partners and communities that have all felt the negative impact in these extraordinary times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We remain very optimistic, and are confident that our adapted approach to business and appreciation for one another will improve the service we offer moving forward, and maintain our reputation of as one of the South-East of England’s leading building contractors.

In the meantime, we would like to express our continued gratitude to everyone who has helped us maintain our operations, and we wish everyone the very best of health – Stay safe!
