T&B are proud to be awarded the British Safety Council’s International Safety Award and were also highly honoured to be one of 44 companies to receive a Distinction in a recent campaign; 1 of only 4 in the construction industry to recieve the honour!
In challenging times health, safety and welfare is still our number one priority. We are very proud of our excellent safety record – with an accident rate that is consistently less than half the industry average. However, we understand that we cannot stop looking to improve as Kane Blatchford our in-house Health and Safety Manager is well aware:
“We are lucky that we have an excellent safety culture in our business, that is important, but equally important is that we also have a culture of learning. This permeates throughout the organisation so that improvement is just another part of everyday life.”
Kane Blatchford, HSQE Manager
We are also committed to achieving industry leading environmental performance recognising that sustainable development is fundamental to the continued success of our business. We understand that the company is not just judged on the financial performance but on the positive impact our activities can have on the community and the environment.
“We know that the industry must change as sustainability and environmental concerns are pushed ever higher up the corporate agenda. We want to be at the front leading this change and helping to shape the future of construction, helping our clients to meet their sustainability objectives.”
Mark Hickson, Managing Director
As a result T&B set challenging environmental objectives and targets aimed at continually improving our performance taking us above mere compliance into best industry practice.
