T&B recognises its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and strives to ensure that we have a positive impact within our local community and the local communities we regularly work within.
We constantly strive to find new ways in which we can engage with local communities and in 2015/16 we had some great successs that include:
THF work with a wide range of age groups to create opportunities that change the lives of those living in the local communities by developing projects to help tackle some of the country’s most difficult and challenging social issues.
Throughout 2015/16 T&B have been involved with a number of initiatives run by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation including our CSR Manager, Danie French, interviewing current THF students and providing them with guidance and feedback at the Foundation’s head office at the iconic White Hart Lane Stadium in Tottenham.
The Foundation looks to improve youth unemployment in London, typically targeting work experience opportunities and apprenticeships with businesses that operate in the local area.
T&B are working with the THF to offer 18-25 year olds work experience on some of our London projects, especially schemes procured through the London Borough of Haringey led London Construction Programme which features projects around the North London area.
Along with experiencing 'life on site', our CSR Manager Danie French has been offering job interview techniques, providing advice and guidance as part of their work experience.
One 18 year old participant said "The programme has taught me about the importance of being confident in your own abilities because if you have no confidence then it makes it harder for you to reach your goals."

T&B also had the opportunity to attend and exhibit at the London Construction Programme's Haringey Council Construction Job Fair which offered employers the opportunity to meet and engage with job seekers within the local community.
T&B have teamed up with Evolve; a CITB Construction Skills affiliated not for profit organisation that operates within London providing construction companies with the opportunity to employ apprentices and engage with the local supply chain.
As part of our commitment to the scheme we have employed a number of apprentices including Kane Maxwell, a North London based carpentry apprentice currently studying at Hackney Community College and gaining experience working on a number of T&B's sites.
Noah Enterprise, T&B’s chosen charity partner, is local-based charity that offer hope and support to people struggling against homelessness and exclusion – www.noahenterprise.org
T&B recently hosted our Supplier’s Golf Day at Redbourn Golf Club to raise money, support and awareness for NOAH Enterprise. The day was a huge success and we managed to raise almost £6,000 that will help support the Luton based charity.

T&B have been involved with the Prince's Trust and their Go Construct Programme which encourages young people into the construction industry with 'local' building contractors offering work experience opportunities.
Following a number of mock interviews with Prince's Trust students that were carried out by our CSR Manager Danie French, we offered a young man called Scott an opportunity to gain work experience on one of our sites refurbishing a school in Watford.
Scott really enjoyed his site experience with T&B and he received great feedback from everyone involved with the project. He's pursuing a career within the industry and is in the process of discussing apprenticeship opportunities with some of the key supply-chain partners and sub-contractors involved with the scheme.
T&B's CSR Manager is also involved with Key 4 Life; an initiative aiming at reducing youth reoffending through the delivery of an innovative rehabilitation programme to those in prison and those at risk of going to prison. Danie has been assisting with mentoring days at various HMP facilities including HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
